Are you or someone you know interested in becoming part of SFU’s co-ed collegiate cheerleading team? Come join our in-person Fall tryouts on Wednesday September 11, 2024 in the SFU Burnaby Central Gym East. Check-in will start at 7:00pm and the tryouts will begin at 7:30pm. You can expect tryouts to end at 10:00pm. If you are feeling sick, please email sfucheerleading@gmail.com to arrange another try-out date. Please fill out this registration form prior to coming:

Tryouts will include physical fitness and ability testing with some time to showcase any cheerleading or gymnastics skills. However, no experience is required! Come prepared by wearing proper gym attire, athletic shoes and a water bottle. Successful tryout candidates should be prepared for a second tryout on Sunday, September 15th at 7:30pm. Throughout the semester, the team practices two days per week; typically Wednesdays and Sunday evenings. All athletes are expected to attend all practices.

Are you interested in trying cheerleading with SFU's collegiate co-ed cheer team? We are holding our annual Stunt with SFU event just in time for Fall tryouts! SFU Cheer invites everyone who wants the opportunity to learn new skills, prepare for Fall tryouts, and have fun!

No experience is necessary, just be ready to try new things and have fun! 
Where: G-Force gym in Port Coquitlam
Date: Sunday September 8th at 8:30pm-10:00pm 
Price: $10 cash at the door 
Age: 15+

Calling all SFU Cheer Alumni! SFU Cheer will be hosting their first Alumni Night! This night will be by donation and proceeds will contribute to our 2 day cheer camp coached by Team Canada Co-Ed athletes!

It will be held on June 30th at 8:30pm-10:30pm at G-Force Gym in Port Coquitlam. Feel free to wear any SFU Cheer merch and don’t forget to bring a water-bottle! We will be stunting at 8:30pm, but you may come earlier if you’d like to tumble with us too. We tumble from 7:30pm-8:30pm. If you have any questions, contact us at sfucheerleading@gmail.com!
