SFU Cheerleading currently has two teams, Red and White.
 

Red Team

An elite level 7 team, Red competes at various national competitions each year. Red team practices twice a week at local gymnastics and cheer gyms in Coquitlam. Some of the team highlights include:

• 3rd place at the 2008 PCA Collegiate Nationals in Toronto, ON
• 1st place at Sea to Sky Cheerleading Championship in Vancouver, BC in 2008, 2010, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2023
• 1st place at BC Provincials in 2020, 2023, 2023
• 1st place at Canadian Cheerfest in 2020, 2023, 2024
• In 2017, Red Team was the first collegiate team from BC to compete at University Worlds in Florida on a Full Paid bid.

 

White Team

White team focuses on skill development and physical fitness. However, they have from time to time competed at Sea to Sky Cheerleading Championships in Vancouver. White team practices once a week on campus and once a week at a local gym in Coquitlam.
